Long vs Short

↑ Long — Buy shares expecting the price to rise. You profit when you sell at a higher price than you bought. Profit = (sell − buy) × shares − fees.

↓ Short — Bet the price will fall. Pay collateral upfront, close (cover) later when cheaper. Profit = (entry − close) × shares − fees. Max loss is your collateral — you can never go into debt.

A 1.5% transaction fee (min T$3) applies to all trades.
